Looks great, sounds great.

A superb small radio with a big sound. It looks great and sounds great. The second 'Vintage' that I've bought as the quality of reproduction is unbeatable in a small portable radio. Only four stars because the first radio stopped working too soon. I hope for better this time.

Great radio but speaker limited

This is a brilliant radio, with only one reservation, the speaker capacity is below the quality of the radio.

Muffled sound quality

Disappointing muffled sound quality - for a person of a certain agent no longer with pin sharp hearing, i find it very difficult to catch what is being said by many speakers on the radio. I appreciate that it has proper buttons to switch on/change stations. etc., - not the irritating capacitative switches of many modern radios and which are so tricky to manipulate. The Roberts Vintage, therefore, is a bit of a let down - i had built up my hopes that it would be just what i was looking for.

Nearly perfect

We have had our Roberts Vintage radio for several years now, I have to say it is a cracking little radio. It looks really good, they have hit the “vintage” look just right. Sound quality has good depth without over-doing the bass. I just wish it had Bluetooth connectivity - I would then give it 5 stars. Bluetooth would mean I could do away with the need for another speaker in the room for iPhone music playback. I know it has a line input, but I don’t want to have to use a cable. I know I could put a Bluetooth adapter in to the line input, but I don’t want that sitting on top (if the line input was on the back of the radio this might have been an option - why is it on the top? Put it on the back with the line output, please, better still add Bluetooth) Still a lovely looking radio

I have 3 of these radios in different parts of the house. The most recent purchase was to replace my first one bought some 8 years ago - it had received very heavy use both indoors and outdoors (until I changed over to a pocket size with bug in the ear). They suit me in every way: quality of sound, attractive design AND function with rechargeable batteries. Last point is really important to me as I like to be able to move them around. My only wish is that they are produced in different colours so that I don't get them mixed up. I have 2 black and 1 cream, but I don't think the cream is available any more.

Lasted 5 years

What a waste of money. The radio was great while it lasted but that was only 5 years....expected more. Roberts charge even to attempt to fix it...almost as much as the cost of the radio. No-one will fix it. I opened it up myself in desperation but don't know what I'm looking for let alone how to fix it. Will never buy Robert's product again.

The Best of Times, the Blurst of Times

Roberts makes a beautiful product. This radio is perfect, but it is so perfect, now I'm curious what the other radios are like.

Beyond Expectations!

My first Roberts Radio and it does not disappoint.Stylish, simple to use and for something that appears quiet small, the sound is fantastic with that bass sound normally associated with a large hi fi system!Just wish I had bought a Roberts years ago.
