Great little radio

Great little radio, great sound and sturdy. My husband is over the moon with it .

Works as well as I hoped.

Surprisingly heavy. Easy to use, and to use presets in the dark. The on off switch is concave - what a good idea.

A perfect small radio

We have just bought a second one as we love the first so much. The rechargeable battery and the neat, elegant look of it are valued particularly. We mainly use it in the bathroom, but sometimes carry it about.

Excellent Clarity, Design and functionality

Excellent radio on all fronts, works in an area of very poor reception, no other radio has ever managed it (I’m near Wales with huge hill behind my house)and I have gone through cheaper ones trying. It has excellent clarity and that is without me even having to put the aerial up, on other makes I was having to move the radio around the room with aerial fully extended just trying to get poor crackly reception. In a room with pale walls it’s also unobtrusive with good clear design. If I could ask one extra function I would have loved for this to have had a radio alarm option, but really if that was at a cost to minimising the function and style of this radio then happy not to have it. Have gone through cheaper and more expensive radios some with good name DAB brand but none can compare for sound quality and design from this Roberts Radio Play.

Solid piece of kit !

Bought to replace two Roberts DAB Gemini 49 Radios . My mother had one. She lives in a home and the radio got a real battering from being dropped on the floor. Our radio had an easier life but when the multiplexes were changed "Gold" was unavailable ! So it had to go ...Roberts help desk found the "Play" this being the nearest in the battery charging system! The pictures on the website didn't quite do it justice and it is reassuringly heavy. It now gets carried all over the house !!

Good little DAB radio

This is my second purchase of a Roberts Play DAB radio so we now have one in each bathroom. The sound level is adequate and the built-in charger is a great idea. The radio feels solid and the design is very pleasing. Given its size the radio has surprisingly good sound and has the facility for FM, DAB and DAB+ station reception on various presets. I use the radios with 2500 mAh rechargeable batteries which extends the time between recharges substantially.

Play radio

Excellent small radio, does exactly what I need it to do. My only caveat is that, in an ideal world, it would have a longer mains connector.
