Great portable radio

Gave as a gift and the recipient was delighted. It works well, tunes easily and produces a good sound for a little value for money radio. It was bought to use outside whilst gardening.

Perfect portable FM radio

Seems robust so far, takes four AA batteries, has great reception and the good speaker delivers rich sound (only use it for speech radio but I suspect music would play well). Above all it is a pleasingly simple design with an on / off volume wheel. Wish digital radios had such handy controls! I use it in the driest corner of the bathroom- probably shouldn’t but shower radios all seem tinny or have awkward battery systems.

Really good sound

I bought this for my mum, who didn't want anything fancy. It's just a straightforward easy to tune and use radio with no bells or whistles. The sound quality is much better than I expeced.

It's a Classic!

My portable garden radio gave up the ghost. So i looked for a replacement and there are lots out there.I have had a Roberts traveller in the past and am confident in the quality that Roberts offers its customers overall. The Classic was £19.99 including delivery from the company website. I am very pleased with the radio and feel confident i'll get a good deal of pleasurable listening from it.

Crackily radio

Expected alot from the Robert's name!! Stations kept fading in and out and if you walked passed it the sound would go really tinny !

Light weight, great sound, so easy to use

Excellent little radio for carrying out in the garden etc, My Mother loves its, light weight that was her main issue. Easy to use. Perfect shape, the design has been well thought out, with a sloping top, so that controls are at a good viewing position. Perfect

Just what was needed

This sturdy little radio came swiftly and is just what I needed to accompany me in the garden In the long hours of corona virus lockdown. Not only does my veg patch look the most productive it has ever been, I have listened to the most interesting and different radio programmes. Good for body and soul. Perfect.
