I bought this 2 weeks ago. It feels really weighty - 3,9 KGs - and looks great. The sound is rich and full with a lot of bass for such a small unit without a subwoofer. The cherry-wood finish is excellent and the unit is very compact. The remote control is truely fiddly, but this is only a minor problem. The overall quality of the product is excellent, from the built in mains adaptor to the slot-in CD-player and the externeral arial that provides exeptional DAB/FM reception! Great job from Roberts Radio
Have had this item for about 1 year now and very pleased with it. I agree the remote is not the best and should be re-designed. My wife wanted to use her chorded headphones recently (not used before) and I said why not use some bluetooth headphones. Could not get the headphones to connect to the radio system tried with my Galaxy S8 and paired ok. The volume was very low from phone to radio. I was asuumimg that you could pair a pair of bluetooth headphones to the radio but it appears you can`t. Very annoying.
Bought as a replacement for a tired Bose wave. Not disappointed by the sound for the money. Really happy with the functions I've used. Still to try recording to USB, which hopefully will be great for use in the cd-less car. Some of the other reviews I've read complain about the lighting and/or the remote. These are really really minor niggles. I have absolutely no issue with the remote and as far as I'm concerned, the unit isn't really designed as a bedside clock! All in all I'm really happy with the unit. I've played a huge variety of music in it, and listen to 6 music daily without any issues. It does pay to utilise the equaliser function as I found the bass over exuberant. This can be just a result of the positioning within your room though. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend, and the delivery was super fast.
I have been using this radio for several years and it works well and sounds great but one crazy missing feature -- there is no facility to start and stop recording from the timer!!! Why?? One wants to record a radio program because one cannot be there to listen to it live. So the only way to do this is to record a programme on the mobile phone then play it back via bluetooth. Come on Roberts, think about it, you already have an alarm timer so where is the problem? If you can't do it put the software the internet so someone else can do it.
I was looking for a quality Dab \ Bluetooth device for my kitchen and decided on the Roberts Blutune 200. It looks great and sounds great. I note that others have said that they have experienced problems with the Bluetooth, I have not seen this problem. We are a household with 4 devices that have connected via Bluetooth to the Blutune, an I-phone 5S an I-phone 8, a Samsung Galaxy 10 and an I-pod. All connected first time with no issue and all sound great, perhaps there has been a S\W update? The radio is easy to tune and use as well. I'm very happy with my choice.
Bought the 200 via Amazon, had it now for five days now and am very pleased with the unit. Especially now its burnt in, and settled down. I agree with some customers that the remote control is a bit quirky but I've just transferred info to my One for all learning remote. Otherwise it's a very good unit. Regards Richard.
A great looking system with excellent sound quality. Bluetooth pairing is easy and controls and remote easy to use. I would recommend to anyone looking for a versatile sound system.
This review is for the original black blutune speaker, The radio sounds reasonable, as does the aux input. but the connectivity with bluetooth is dreadful, really hit and miss, often having to do a factory reset, and "forgot" the device on the iPhone. Quite often when/if it does connect, even with the volume on the iPhone on full and the Blutune turned up to full, the sound is barely audible. I've recently got a new iPhone ( 11 ) and the connectivity's even worse with that, which works perfectly with half a dozen (some very cheap ) bluetooth speakers and headphones that I have Just trying to find if there's a software upgrade for it that might fix the problem.
I have had this unit for a few years and has been played everyday without any problems, sound great.. BUT...the remote is rubbish, too small and hard to use. I have lost count how many times I have lost one of my favourite stations by holding remote button a split second to long.. its a shame a little more thought on the remote this unit would be ten out of ten.
My unit is now approx 3-4 years old and still works reasonably well. Eventhis far in with regular use, the non conventional remote control irritates me a lot and I wouldn't recommend the unit based on that alone. Its like it was designed by a recent Product Design engineering graduate who was given too much responsibility on their first project. I also find the Bluetooth functionality hit and miss... regardless of type of android phone or iPhone, I regularly have to go from Bluetooth back through all the other functions and back to Bleutooth to get a connection. Fails over 50% of the time on first connection attempt. Other than that, as always with Roberts, I find the sound quality fantastic and have no issues with the DAB/FM and CD functionality (the other uses aside from Bluetooth)
looks good, sounds good. quality product and not overpriced
Always wanted a bose but could not justify price read loads of reviews and decided to take the plunge and was overjoyed with sound quality easy setup within half an hour I, d manually tuned dab presets and paired my phone and tablet to Bluetooth would highly recommend
