Quick, simple and easy to set up, great sound from a radio!
We have bought this mainly for use in our T5 camper van. We didn’t want to buy a new In-built radio for the van and start annoying other campers pumping out boomy music from door speakers. The iStream radio is perfect, it totally looks the part, the sound is great an connectivity is brilliant. We plan to build a shelf for the radio to sit and keep charged from the vans 12v supply by buying a regulating power adapter. Only had a month. Love this radio.
Beautiful radio, woefully inadequate software app to go with it. The Radio itself is an absolute beauty and makes a fine sound. The retro styling has quietly slipped into legendary style status over the years of DAB radios. However, some functions of the internet streaming capability (e.g. Amazon Music) require user log-in via the accompanying smartphone app - which despite an hour of my effort and an hour with technical support, simply refused to co-operate. Roberts have been seriously let down by Undok (the app makers).
Great product, well built, really nice finish, loads of options in terms of connectivity and good range of colours.
Bought this radio this afternoon and was initially well pleased with it. However the first thing it asks you to do, is check for software updates, which I did. It found my wifi network and connected first time. It also listed my neighbor's network as well. After completing the update the radio rebooted and that was the last time it found any networks. No amount of factory resets and manual scans made a difference, so after 3 hours of ownership I returned it to Currys for a full refund, as my local branch didn't have any replacement.
I received my beautiful radio as a gift recently and its quickly become my favourite gadget. The colour ( I have the pink colour) and finish of the radio is beautiful and the retro style looks amazing. Sound quality is great and you can easily and quickly connect it to your mobile via bluetooth and listen on your Spotify account.
This radio has it all: excellent sound quality with just enough bass; WiFi connectivity; gorgeous looks. It took us a couple of day to get used to the UI which is sometimes confusing but after a few weeks of daily use we can say that we absolutely love this device and impressed by the engineering and quality of it.
Very good piece of kit, sounds fantastic, looks nice and retro, and easy to set up.
I'm pleased, in the main, with this radio, and am particularly enjoying exploring internet radio. Two small caveats: 1) The sound quality is a little dull, and there seems to be no way to improve it. This is not a hi-fi, it is a radio. 2) The instructions for connecting to the network were misleading, and eventually I went on line to discover that what was required was simply the wifi key.
Stylish and well made, with great sound quality, we are delighted with our radio.
Right from the moment I switched it on I was really impressed. Roberts have done wonders with the sound quality on this model and absolutely nothing can rival it. I always found the RD70 a bit tinny in sound but with the addition of the larger bass speaker and sharp tweeter on the iStream 3, Roberts have taken the sound quality to another level. The customisable equaliser on the iStream 3 makes it far superior to anything even with a Sonos or Bose badge. You really have to experience the sound to believe it! The user interface is straightforward and internet functionality and Bluetooth work perfectly and it's great to be able to search for and stream podcasts from the radio itself. By downloading and installing the UNDOK app on your Android or Apple mobile, you can even control your music, audiobooks, podcasts etc. without leaving your armchair! Roberts have really surpassed themselves by introducing the iStream 3 into their product range and the positive reviews everywhere on line are testament that you will be buying a quality unit with fantastic sound quality that to be honest, simply can't be beaten by any other manufacturer. The old saying that you get what you pay for is true. Although the iStream 3 is expensive, it's worth the extra cost and by rewarding yourself with a radio that looks and sounds fantastic, it's a wise investment. Trust me (and all the other positive reviewers) it's worth every penny...
I bought mine three months ago. At first it was perfect, easy to set up and operate. I had three brilliant months of service from it. However during it's fourth month the screen failed and I was unable to use it so back it went to John Lewis for a full refund.
